FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Anyone genuinely concerned about something will engage in a good faith discussion, either on here or hit up my PM.

Lack of a good faith discussion is performative outrage.

PM open.
Questions still remain.

I've gotten 'talked to' for deleting things that someone sense felt shouldn't have been deleted, so I'm generally gunshy with deleting posts*, especially those with an implicit racial component.
I know that there are those who either won't believe this or don't want to believe this, but I'm constantly learning, trying to do better.

We have to give a clear, succinct reason why we delete a post.
If you were to delete it, what would you put as the reason?
I've already deleted it, and another, and I don't know if the reasons given can be seen by the public or not, but what would you give as your reason?

*You've benefited from me being gunshy dozens of times.

Nah I believe it but In general the lack of consistency in terms of what gets deleted on this forum just "bottles" my mind.

This is a forum wide observation.

(Not saying YOU are the only one here that has power to delete posts)

: "Racial insensitivity."

Oh I don't mind being tagged with requests at all; not from you, not from any one.
I only mind accusations attached.

Perfect.
I mean this very sincerely: Thank you for the genuine response.
This might not seem like a big deal to you, might seem simple, but wording is very important to me and I toiled over a reason.
I was going to put 'Racist comment' at first, and then literally thought "I don't know that dude. What if he's black and he ends up PMing me or posting, 'Why'd you delete my comment and call it racist? I'M black'? Now I'm going back & forth..."

Then I thought "Ok so what if I put 'Racially charged'? But... the post doesn't say anything about race. Yeah, we all know what someone means if they say, 'This lady was speaking ebonics'... I'll just put what was said as the reason for deletion."

So what would you say if you deleted as 'Racially insensitive', then the user hit you with 'How was that racially insensitive? I didn't even mention a race'?

(And I'm only asking you this here instead of via PM because I'm confident you'll give a genuine response, and maybe someone else can also read this dialogue and gain some insight along with me... then back to food. :))

Did you scoop the beans on the tacos?

Or

Taco bite, beans, taco bite?

I ate like half the beans before I touched a taco, ate the tacos then ate all the beans.

beans on the tacos is a crazy move bruh

It’s not super common but some spots pre-bean the taco for you

oh yeah, I guess I meant these specific beans. they were too runny for that, they were almost like charro beans without the bacon.
