I cant tell from that gif, but is the idea that the biker wasn't moving and the speed of the ramp was enough to launch him up?
Either way, its hard to see how he thought he would ever stick the landing ramp
It is moving - just at a normal pace. The speed of the truck makes you hit the ramp faster = more air.
Looks like the truck was moving too fast in that vid. I think the guy was paralysed then died a few years later. The trick has since been done by someone else but I can't find a video.
