For anyone who doesnt know what Radar Detector to get

. I was able to test it outtoday. It tells you if speed cameras are there and if red light cameras are near. The radar detection is great. Telling you if it is from up ahead, to the sideor behind you. Worth the money.

I used the radar detector on the NJ Garden State Parkway and Turnpike. And the Camera Detection came in handy in the city. Muther $%*$+*# red light cameras. Itcosts 400.

A radar detector wont help you then. By the time it starts to beep, its usually too late to slow down. Afterall, it doesnt make you invisible

Just get a Radar Detector Detector Detector if that makes sense. It detects radar detector detectors.

NJ state troopers use Laser and are usually hidden so radar detectors really won't work on those two highways.

get a v1, i have it, its great, that new cobra is big and bulky and same price as a v1, but a v1 is smaller and is best out of all the other radars, rates byoutside sources too.

i love my radar, i usually get a nice enough warning in advance to know if there are cops camped out along side of the road. One thing i noticed though is thatit seems to pick up ambulances for some reason? other than that im content with mines

I've got an Escort Passport 8500 X50 in my X5 and it works well. Kinda useless in the city since barely any cops use radar in the city, but it pays offwhen you're on long road trips. My detector also picks up LIDAR signal, but once it does, your screwed already. I plan on picking up the Escort LaserShifter ZR3 to help out when it comes to LIDAR. It has sensors that you mount on the front and rear of your vehicle so it offers great coverage. It'sproven to block LIDAR from picking up your vehicle speed just long enough for you to drop down to a reasonable speed.

Definitely. I wouldn't run a laser jammer unless I had a switch where I could turn it off fairly quickly. That's because after a while, a copwill figure out that you are jamming his signal and will pull you over, and then search your vehicle.
