i think it does, some shampoos seem to make your hair softer/wavier than others....

ive always been scared to use this cuz i used some type of fruity shampoo and it just made my hair very sticky and it would not come out. like i poured meltedcandy in my hair

Having the right shampoo is important b/c it can really help the definition of your waves if they are healthy. Which is why having a good shampoo/conditioneris important.


But overall all you have to do is brush.
Brush in the same directions at all time to train ya hair and wolf when you have a pretty solid 360 pattern. Once you wolf it will make your waves deeper andmore defined. It shoould take you 4-5 months of consistant brushing to get pretty decent waves. Years to master......
 
it doesnt matter! you can use soap to wash your hair and still have perfect waves.....its all about your brush, and how much you brush your hair at firstbefore they get locked in...

and dont get your hair cut goin against your waves....go with the grain! unless you dont want thick waves until about a week after your cut..
