Just saw this. Im not an avid rock climber but I believe this is one of the most profound human achievements in our lifetime. The cinematography is stunning and the film dives into the psyche and unnerving build up of anxiety of Alex and his friends who film him ascent of El Cap in Yosemite. You honestly dont have to like rock climbing to enjoy the film. As for those who are afriad of height (as I am) many shots will make you uncomfortable but this is worth the watch.
Just to let you know the scale of this thing. El Cap is roughly 3 times the height of the Empire State building.
It took Alex 3 hours and 56 minutes of free solo climbing to scale a 3,000 ft. flat sheet of Granite.
