For a lot of you revisionists on this board go listen how much of an afterthought Jay-Z was compared to the talent pool out at those times.

Define "those times" though, because I doubt you'd have anyone who actually listened to Jay in mid 90s who said he was GOAT at that time. However, if anyone believes Jay was an afterthought in late 90s-2000's then they're not correct. For a lot of you revisionists on this board go listen how much of an afterthought Jay-Z was compared to the talent pool out at those times.

It really seemed like Flex was poppin off at Dame for his "culture vulture" comments about Lyor Cohen, Jay just fit into that. I see where Flex is coming from, and Dame has been crazy annoying, but I don't know if I agree with his sentiment that Jay wouldn't be Jay without Lyor/Def Jam. Then again, I wasn't in NY with that inside knowledge so I'm clearly speaking in hindsight.
Damn.Look at Rihanna versus Teairri Marie
Jimmy Cozier versus Alicia Keys

*****s still listen to HOT 97 in NY?!
Really?!
Why? Y’all can just listen to whatever the **** y’all want now. Who wants to hear these clowns and their opinions?
