California has roughly 70 cents in just state taxes on each gallon, the gas is made to a different standard than other states so we can't use anyone else's refined gas, refineries have been closing, one which also coincided with the debacle in Iran so we got screwed twice at the same time, the government has also been adverse to any new oil drilling in the state thus a lot of oil is imported. The list goes on.I never took to time to learn it but why are yall taxed so hard on gas?

It's mainly to pay for roads and transportation, and the cleaner gas reduces the amount of air pollution (needed in LA).But why are y’all taxed for that!?
Seems ridiculous!

You paying for premium? You lowkey may be able to afford it.$7.03 for Premium (Northern California)
