I filled for FAFSA LATE in december 07, I didn't think I would get all that much been then I just got a check today for 2 stacks

plus they gave me 6 bills for last semester and they pay for all myclasses

I love being poor

before i bounced to college i had to go to the Social Services building for to file for work since i had just graduated high school.even though it was held inan office building, all the people looked like they came straight out of a Juvenile video, they said that if i didnt go to the meeting or get a job that mymoms food stamps was gonna get cut. they ask if anybody in the room thought they shouldn't be there and i raised my hand and told them i was goin tocollege, everybody turned and looked at me and was like

like "boy please u aint goin to no college"

i showed them my college ID, the people was like "oh well, i guess you were'nt lying after all, good luck"

but they still cut her food stamps

i know so many people who are "cheating" the system. if they want to do a verification, do it for everyone.

they do verifications now...wow. that sucks but u gotta remember theres alot of people who "cheat" the system that really need it. if it wasnt for mygrandmother being a legal guardian i wouldnt be in college cuz my mom makes too much but not enough...

Ehh, my "parents" right now are making around 3-400 k a year... my REAL parents aredeceased so I still get the 2 stacks and tuition paid in full

Same here. What really gets me mad is people cheating the system that really can afford to go to college. Well off family, using FAFSA to send their kid toa good UC, while I'm living at home going to a mediocre state college.
