Going Dutch?

I never heard of this term until I was on the subject with my boy few weeks ago. If I'm trying to get a chick, I don't mind paying, but after a couple dates, it would be nice of the female to at least offer. With my girl it's never an issue though, I'll pay or she'll pay sometimes, no big deal. Fellas, what's your take on paying on dates?
Edit: Ladies chime in too, I'm interested to get a different perspective.

Dude can pay for the first few, but if the dating continues I think the female should try to pay for some of the load, I mean unless she's a gold digger she shouldn't have a problem paying if she is making some sort of income.
