Going to a concert alone

I go to games alone, movies alone, and concerts alone. Going to games and movies alone is always a last minute spur of the moment thing

My musical taste is much different from my friends and as someone mentioned earlier, don’t rely on someone to go with you or you’ll miss out. Saw Lionel Richie, the eagles, Phil Collins by myself and I’m glad I went. Would’ve regretted it

I have no issues going to movies alone. It's usually on a Sat/Sun morning because its cheap and I can have the rest of the day/night for other things.

No one's gonna look at you funny and if they do they're the weirdos for watching you and not enjoying whatever event you're at.

Exactly. Plus, chances are, you will never see any of those people in your life again.

Saw BadBadNotGood and Lil B by myself a few years ago. Didn’t know, and still don’t, any one would want to go to a Lil B concert so I went by myself and had a blast.

Never been to a concert by myself but I’ve done sporting events like Dodgers games by myself. It was fun and like others said everyone else is there for the same thing so it’s not hard to find people to vibe with when you’re there.

The Internet was one of the shows I went by myself to  Ditched my friends at FYF fest to catch the Anderson .Paak set. Caught a Vic Mensa show solo back when he only had the Innanetape under his belt. Went to Campflognaw by myself last year.

Enjoyed all of them.

I went to CFG by myself last year too!

Ended up seeing Jill Scott alone which was cool and I'm thinking of getting a ticket to see Tyler the Creator when he performs at the Garden next month... also went to a katt Williams, Monique, and a couple Big 3 games solo

Was the based gods show sick? Is he still the same old lil b?

went to one concert alone... it was cool but not as fun as going with someone else or a group of friends

I do things alone quite a bit too. Movies, games, strip club. Sometimes it's nice to be able to go at your own pace.

I do most things alone nowadays
Concerts + galleries + movies

Moving at your own pace / not being shackled >>>

if my friends aren't available eff it i go myself.i've done it hella times. festivals, movies, rap concerts, rock concerts, raves,etc...

I've bee to a couple shows like this, mainly ones that my friends or wife wouldn't be interested in. I've usually gotten really good seats because most people were paired up or in larger groups so i would go to the box office and check availability day of sometimes. Its no biggie to me then again I've no qualms with watching movies alone or eating alone etc.

Never been to a concert solo but have been to a sporting event (baseball game) by myself.

Personally, I rather go by myself than go with someone who's not interested in the activity or has a negative attitude. I'm an only child so I def. don't mind doing activities by myself.

Went to Europe solo last year and loved traveling by myself. It's peaceful and you move at your own pace.

Didn't go to see one of my favorite indie bands at a small venue because I didn't have anyone to go with (wife didn't really like them).

Theyve since blown up and only do huge shows that cost like 4 times as much.

If your on the fence, just do it.

I've been to a lot of concerts by myself. Although I sometimes would bump into friends at the shows. I prefer it that way. The more people go to an event, the more complicated it becomes. Also, I used to record concert footage as a hobby, so it was actually better that I went by myself.

Went solo to go see Common perform with the Houston Symphony last week and it was a FANTASTIC musical experience.

I'm not really a fan of concerts, so this was amazing for me.

Had an intermission, people didn't have their phones out and crap, and the acoustics were amazing!

Went to a coldplay concert by myself a few years back. Loved it.
The crowd was my company.

I didnt know anyone personally who likes them and refused to go with a non fan.

Just wished I had better seats.

I've done it a few times and had fun. Sometimes going to a show thats GA I lose my friends and don't care.

I go to concerts alone all the time...

I enjoy it more so then going with someone.

In and out.

Yup! I had just moved to a new city and one of my fav hip hop groups, Little Brother was doing their farewell tour. No way I was going to miss that.

I say go for it and make friends w the people around you.

I had a similar experience. I went to a Foreign Exchange concert in Oakland when I first moved to the Bay. It was cool, great show, bar hopped for a bit afterwards.
That new LB album is :smokin:smokin:smokin

Grown adults have to stop being afraid to do activities alone.

This. I go to concerts alone, movies alone, all kinds of events alone; when I was single I'd go to bars/club alone too. I have a fiancee so I do alot of stuff with her but if she doesn't want to do something, I'm still gonna do it. She didn't want to see John Wick 3 or Avengers Endgame and I'd be d***ed if I miss those in theaters.

I like it because I can come and go on my own time. I like chillin with friends and fam but they slow you down. Either make you late or wanna chill way after you're ready to bounce.
I, honestly, don't understand the issue people have with going to things alone. Are people afraid that other people will judge them?
