Going to Amsterdam NT'ers post your experience's vol..euro trip 2011

So my flight leaves tomorrow night going with like 4 of my boys, all our first times there, we booked a apt nice 3 br furnished near red light district

, staying for 8 days definitely going to the coffee shops, clubs, pubs and red light district, just wanted to get the nt'ers guide or hear some stories while I prepare lol , btw ima prolly go to Paris for a day and maybe London.

Yea I agree 8 days is too much youll get bored after 3 days. Should've planned better.
It would be better to go 3 days Amsterdam, 3 days Paris and 3 days London

But yes, 8 days in AMS is way too much.

Get a map. Damn near the whole city is walkable.

There is Heineken + Amstel everywhere!

Hit the Heineken factory just because.

Anne Frank Museum is a major tourist attraction. I went. This may sound ignorant, but in a city of good times, it was kind of depressing. But it's still history. You can only party but so much.

Hit up Patta. Do some research on the coffee shops, but really you can't go wrong.

We hit the Red Light a few times but no one got down. When you're used to getting laid readily for free, that whole scene is a bit much. But window shopping is lovely.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a roof deck on Wolvenstraat. We had a %%$%@#@ BLAST on that deck son.

Hard NOT to have fun there. I ain't do much research before I went. Don't overthink it. If you walk, you'll just stumble onto #%%#.

eighth days is a lot at least spend 1-2 of your Amsterdam nights in Brussels. it's less than a two hour train ride and there's a lot to see.

8 days total (well 7 since the 8th day is a flight back at noon), a day or 2 in Paris and maybe a day in London, so that leaves me like 4-6 solid days in Amsterdam

   London is really lame. I'd skip it and spend the extra time in Paris if I were you.

I spent 6 days there last summer..  I love that city

Get a map, walk around the whole inner city and just explore.  If you want to do touristy stuff.. hit the Heineken factory or whatever they call it.  Theres a couple museums around that area too.

I spent 6 days there last summer..  I love that city

No, it's not... especially if you're outgoing and meet/hang out with the locals. Don't skip London OR Paris for that matter... both are very good times. 
Amsterdam is a fantastic time. I smoked many different types of marijuana and had sex with a few hookers... certified 10s.

Have fun, don't fall in the canals and make sure to bring plenty of scratch.
