it's for a family reunion.  we'll be there just under 48 hrs.  what i'm looking for is things that are a must see that can be done in a short time.  judging from the parking wars shows, downtown looks great.  any places to eat, clubs, shopping spots, whatever you'd recommend.  also, i heard of this place called 'the hip-hop shop.'  i understand it's closed, but i'd like to see the old location.  thanks in advance.  never been to DET but excited to go.

MGM Casino.....That's about it. Jeezy will be at Chene Park on the 30th, maybe you can get  some tickets to that.
