Going to NY for the first time Vol.What to expect

Well Ima be going to NY in August, going to be staying with this chick in Manhattan she lives on ****man street wherever thats at and was just wondering what should I be expecting once Im over there, I heard this place is filled with dominicans lol so I guess thats a good thing since im dominican myself.

****man? .. RIP. lol nah its not that bad but it isnt the greatest area to be in. Just expect to experience all the seasons within one week (possibly one day), our weather is ******ed, and expect your feet to be grilled by almost every teenager to see what you have on. Other than that just the usual things, crowded streets in manhattan, attempted bombings, the subway system.. all that stuff ny is known for.

I was just in NY not long ago.



Expect to see plenty of people just going about their own business. People are not as rude as everyone says.



EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE so please have tons of money to spare depending on what your going to do. You can have fun without money, but lets just say talking to hobos isnt as fun as shopping.


Please carry some time of gps so you don't get lost. Real NY people are terrible help. Wearing good shoes if your walking a lot.


If your in Manhantan, expect to see tons of people of other races. I saw more Ricans than Dominicans.


I loved it and I think you will too. But just have TONS of money man. Window shopping sucks. Plus NY has tons to do outside of shopping.
