I am going to Rome from March 18-22.

I am going by myself.

I got a hotel room near the Spanish steps instead of a hostel.

I am planning on seeing all of the sites (colosseum, pantheon, etc.)

Any recommendations on nightlife? Shopping?

Anyone live out there?

Anyone want to meet me there?

Any and all input is welcome

If you find little Phillipines the hotels there are nice and cheap.

The fountain water is extremely clean and drinkable

Best paintings are in churches

It cost extra if you sit outside to eat

You should watch anthony bourdains no reservations show on rome and take notes.

I cant remember many spots cuz i was drunk alot.

if in big crowds, constantly check your pockets...gypsy pick pockets are no joke, caught a hand reaching for my pocket at the Trevi fountain

Watch out for TERMINI STATION

Be weary of your valuables and be vigilant of Gypsies

Rome is a dirty *** place

Gelato and pizza next to where Ceasar died is $

Again, Rome is a dirty *** city full of pick picketers and gypsies

Enjoy :lol

i'd try to hop on a train and check out another city for a day. 3-4 days should be plenty in Rome.

I went there with my mom a couple years back and all the sight seeing was pretty much done in one day.

What did you do, just hit the spot took pictures and went to the next one? I mean there is so much to see - one day is basically a quick selfie, next and repeat - not truly seeing it and enjoying it ..

i hit up Vatican City, the Colosseum, Pantheon, that fountain, them stairs, and maybe one or two more sites.

i cant remember if we actually stayed there a night, but if we did, then i guess we conquered Rome in a day and a half.

when i travel, im more about embracing culture and what not, so if i skip a not so major tourist spot or two, i dont feel like i missed out.
