GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Michigan — The Prosecutor's office has charged Kenya Bell, former Miss Michigan USA, with assaulting her husband, basketball star Charlie Bell, with a box cutter on Sunday, said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.

The assault occurred inside Charile Bell's home in Grand Blanc Township in the presence of two children, Leyton said.

Leyton declined to release any more details on the incident.

"It's a tragic situation," he said. "They're entitled to some privacy."

Kenya Bell was arraigned in Genesee District Court today on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence, according to court records. She was released on $5,000 bond.

Charlie Bell, a Flint native and former Michigan State University basketball star who currently plays for the NBA's Golden State Warriors, suffered minor injuries.

He was a member of Michigan State's 2000 NCAA national championship team.

Kenya Bell, 35, was crowned Miss Michigan USA in 2001.
Don't know what's in the water these women are drinking. Some sources are saying he had an affair which drove her to this.

Not funny at all. A man's life was put into danger. Whatever these dudes are doing to make these women go crazy, they need to stop. Or they just need to............I don't know what they need to do. I am just sick of hearing so much negativity.
