Google Maps Turn-By Turn Navigation Appreciation Thread

I had planned to buy a Garmin GPS system for Christmas then I heard news that Google would be releasing a Navigation Beta for Android phones back in November.Tried this joint out for the first time lastnight and I must say im very impressed.

The accuracy was impeccable, I did a wrong turn and it automatically rerouted me to an alternative route which got me to my destination without inputting anynew information. Theres even the ability to view Navigation in Street mode where you can actually see stilled images of streets/avenues and etc.. crazy.

The greatest thing about it.... FREE. Only thing I need now is a dock

Yeah but Turn-By-Turn Navigation came out last month... its currently in the beta stage.

Used it for a 30Min trip, Battery went from 98% to 87% not too bad

Why did droid get it first though? when is it dropping for the iPhone or BB?

i put my g1 by my speedometer and let it do its thing. would be bad if you could change the voice.
