. This is what I mean, I listened to tons of interviews and speeches by Ron Paul, I agree with some of what he says but on other things I completely disagree. And some things he says are completely off-putting to me. He might be the best candidate out of the sorry bunch the GOP has running, but I would not vote his man in a Presidential election over Obama. And for the life of me I don't understand why other liberals support Ron Paul.
And his whole premise that a weaker national government would solve America's problem because that's how they use to do things way back when is so #%!+%#@ stupid. And people buy into that +@*%

Progressives support Ron Paul because he's anti-war and anti-Big Business.

He identifies with liberals who want to pull out troops from Afghanistan & Iraq since we are obviously not there to actually win.  He also supports the legalization of marijuana & ending the war on drugs as well as the ending of the Fed which is just a middleman between the banking system and the Treasury.

On the point of smaller government.  What was so bad about a weaker government?  As Thomas Jefferson said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have"  I'm not completely opposed to regulations, but we have gotten to the point where politicians are more concerned with putting their name on new laws rather than ensuring the enforcement of old laws.  For instance, the housing crisis would have been completely avoided if Barney Frank would have listened to the chief regulator of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac in 2004.  Instead, they said there was nothing wrong with their portfolios and they should move forward with home ownership to those who couldn't afford conventional loans.  Heck... even GWB raised a red flag to congress in 2003, but nobody would listen at that point since everyone was making money hand over fist.

You ask this same question 10-15 years ago and the answer would be different than what it would be today though.

Would it be possible for NT to start a Ron Paul revolution?

He is a candidate who both sides could stomach. He has the type of ideas that would force this country to reevaluate the way it does business. He is the lesser of all evils running next year. By no means is he perfect, but if you are honest with yourself you would come to the realization that he is the best for both sides of the aisle and would bring about more positive change than ANY candidate.

I was thinking something along the lines of a #winning or 'Countries sanction themselves before Ron Paul comes to speak' Chuck Norris type sayings.

I've seen Ron Paul speak.. IN PERSON.... Not to mention read a couple of his books because that is always the next line of attack... I know this because you have already tried to use that card on me..

Stop trying to down everyone's opinions on him if they question the "Great" Dr. Paul.... He's not your father nor your Sugar Daddy, no matter how much you ride his genitals..

Joke candidates are treated like jokes for a reason... The man lives in an unrealistic world.. And is even more rigid on his positions than the Tea Party.. I can respect his principled stance...

But there is nothing Intellectual about standing still in one position no matter what, even if the facts go against you...

I guess the best news for this country is when he loses the primary next year.. We no longer have to deal with his nonsense sheep because he said he probably won't run Independent and is Retiring from Congress Jan. 2013

I think this is a joke... I think. If it isn't I wouldn't be surprised. You sound like you still have faith in Obama making good on his #*+ load of promises from 2008. Please try to prove anything that Ron Paul has said in his stances as wrong and I will send you $20. The guy basically predicted the past 20 years of war and recession.

Oh, you are talking about that "Dot com" bubble era when Greenspan flooded the market with cheap credit and money. That Clinton surplus was a fraud, they counted Social Security twice to cover the budget deficits. They can do this because Social Security money is lent to the Treasury. Plus, the federal debt when Clinton left was was in how many hundred billion? So how do you have a surplus when you are still in debt?

Not to forget the house housing bubble was initiated by Clinton as well, lucky for him it waited till 2008 to explode in America's face.  Clinton gets none of the blame for this whole mess, but he is directly responsible for a majority of it.

I don't even know how to reply to this.

Reading reviews of quotes from Ron Paul's books off of blogs books is not reading a his book.

Essential is going to post a laundry list of Nanny State policies that Ron Paul is against, that Socialists like Essential would be for. Never mind the fact that he predicted the financial crisis over a decade ago and the inflation that we are experiencing almost 30 years ago, never mind that he predicted that we would be attacked because of our foreign policy when Clinton was in office. All of which is on YouTube.

Ron Paul voted against No Child Left Behind oh knooozzzzz! He wants to abolish the DOE, omg leaving it to the responsibility of the parents! The balls of Ron Paul, how dare he want to give that responsibility to the parents. What is this? He wants to repeal the Federal Income Tax! Jesus H. Christ. Heaven forbid people get to keep their own money. Wait a minute, he doesn't believe in Global Warming, or are they calling Climate Change now? Ron Paul believes in the end of the "War on Drugs".That's it, Ron Paul is not credible. What kind of nut job believes in this type of stuff?

OMGz Ron Paul has a difference of opinion than Essential, that's why Ron Paul is a fraud.

^ Also abolish the FDA, Federal Reserve, FAA, and EPA.

And get rid of minimum wage. (Modern legalized slavery)

Ron Paul is a joke.

America's prime is almost nil and the GOP wants to put Rick Perry in charge?..how are people not taking to the streets over how garbage the government and its officials are.

It's always entertaining to see these clowns on stage and some of these clowns in the audience.

They cheered for letting a man die. I quit. Republicans make me sick. And if this flipping broad says ObamaCare one more time...
