GoPro Video Thread

You own the rights to what you film with a GoPro, right?

They're trying to make the company bigger than just a camera company, they wanna make it more media based, but I just don't see how that's possible when they don't own the content. To me, they'll be more Vine/Instagram than the next CBS let's say.

Its interesting because they also have gopro sponsored athletes that they produce film with also. Everyone else making videos are just marketing for the big time videos that they produce.

Im not sure where they fit in because they wont reach CBS or even ESPN but they are kinda making a new lane but idk where it will fit in the grand scheme of things

Didn't know they had deals with athletes, that's pretty cool. It'll be interesting to see how they evolve.

Yea Shaun White is deff one of them and its new so i agree it will be very interesting.

In your guys opinion, is it worth it to get dual charger for hero4 at 49.99 which comes with charger and extra batteries or wait for the set from Smatree or wasabi for cheaper up on amazon?

Aiming to get one on black Friday or sometime soon if I can find a decent deal. Don't think I need the 4 or the 3+ Black edition.

BB has the Silver 3+ with LCD and memory card for $250
Target has the Silver 3+ for $250 with a $50 GC.

thoughts? Or should I just wait it out and get the Black + ?

Just bought the hero4 silver and wanted to know what's the best memory card to buy?

I own this and like it better than a regular extension pole. It's great for night shots obviously

How important is the memory card in these gopros? Or as long as they are class 10 it's fine? Here's 2 I recently bought, but IDK if I need 2 64GB SD cards. Should be going in a 4 Hero.

The samsung has a slower read/write rate, but does it really matter? Or do I really need two?

Thanks guys.

Im also planning to buy GoPro on black friday like you.

I already bought the first Samsumg microsd card you listed from amazon because they had mad sale going on.

From amazon FAQ page, they said that this microsd is extremly fast at writing HD videos and transferring it so we should be good. I dont really think you need two because 64 GB is ALOT.... you could just keep on transferring the videos to your computer and erase it and go record it again, at least thats what im planning to do.

Did you cop GoPro yet?

Not yet. Was going for the 3+ Silver, but after taxes thats about $280 with the LCD and a 16GB card from Best Buy. Trying to buy a Hero 4 Silver for $300 flat.

Yeah, I think I'm going to end up returning one of the memory cards, and as of now, it's probably going to be the Samsung Memory card. The Sandisk Extreme Plus has great reviews and is actually recommended from Gopro and especially if I want to shoot in 4K or anything I might as well shell out a bit more for the better/faster micro SD.

I could get the deal right now, the BB deal $250 for the Hero 3+ silver with LCD screen and 16gb SD card since I am a Best Buy Elite member. But I'm going to go for a Hero 4 from craiglist instead.

I plan on getting the 64g Lexar card and some filters too. I just hope I can learn how to edit good, is go pro studio easy to use?

Apple's joint is easier to use than go pro's studio app.  Smoother too.

i can't remember where i read this, but now i pretty much run every video off a go pro through their studio app to convert it even if i eventually will edit it in another program...it supposed to be a bit higher quality when you do it that way...

Just picked up my GoPro 4 Hero Silver.

My first Gopro. Any tips/tricks or must haves (besides memory card, extra batteries, selfie stick)?
