GRANDPARENTS appreciation post

I just spent this last weekend with both sets of grandparents (at separate times). One set is 86 years old and the other is 84/83... I am just starting to realize how cool they are. They are always down to do anything for you just because you're their grandchild, and they say some of the best stuff.
Me: What's on your agenda today, grandpa?
Gpa: Get money.

Cherish every moment you can with them. Grandparents are the best even if they seem like they don't give a care in the world.
I miss my Grandparents deeply.  First Christmas with both of them gone together.  Thankful for everything they have taught me and blessed to have had them in my life.

Cherish every moment you can with them. Grandparents are the best even if they seem like they don't give a care in the world.
I miss my Grandparents deeply.  First Christmas with both of them gone together.  Thankful for everything they have taught me and blessed to have had them in my life.
 
I just lost my grandma two weeks ago. This Christmas had a weird vibe to it. It just isn't the same without her. But I will never forget all the things she has done for me and all the things she taught me. LISTEN to these people, because no amount of books, schooling, or history channel can take the place of 86 years of real life. It definitely makes me appreciate who I have left and makes me want to get to know them better and ask them all about their life while I can.

Mom-died before I was born

 Im really close to my mom and growing up I always wished I knew her mom.

Dad- Lives an hour from me. Feel guilty because I don't call/visit as much as I should (he's in this early 70's) 

Dads side (theres a generation gap between us):

Mom- Had a stroke in 95' when I was 10 and lost her memory and we took her to India. Died in 06 in her early 90's. I was close to her before her stroke and miss her so much

Dad- Died in 1987 in this late 90's. He was a freedom fighter in India and was at the Amrtisar Massacre in 1919 and met Mohandas Gandhi!(Anyone who's see the movie Gandhi, the Amritsar Massacre is in it.) He lived a long life so its not as sad.
