Graphic Designers.. software question

What software can I use to overlap letters like the ny yankees logo or the San Diego padres logo?

Its best if you use Adobe Illustrator seeing as it allows your to work with points and not pixels.

For what you're trying to do, photoshop will work just fine.

PS like mentioned above..if you're looking for a free program use Gimp, it'll do the job

I can get around in photoshop...illustrator is something else though

Illustrator is your best friend. I spend hours in illustrator designing. It is easier because you can live trace objects and turn them into points. You don't have to worry about dpi really because you are not working with pixels.
