-When EVERYBODY was cool with each other growing up and had each others back.
-People being themselves and not following everything they see on tv.
-Cartoon Network playing cartoons.
-Prank Calls.
-Wearing new shoes around the house before school started.
-REAL MUSIC in the 90's that actually said something positive.
-Making friends without thinking if they're gonna be fake.
-Home Alone 1 and 2. "Kevinnnnnnn!"
-Real people.
-Digimon.
-MTV Spring Break.
-TRL - Carson Daly.
-Tomigotchi's.
-WWF Wrestling Belts.
-BEING a KID before the Internet/Cell Phones.
-Black Planet.
-Playstation for Christmas [1996-1997]
-Sega Dreamcast - NFL 2K, NBA 2K...
-MTV/BET showing MUSIC videos.
-Real rap music.
-Waking up @ 7am on Saturdays to watch cartoons w/ big bowl of cereal.
-Getting ready for school watching Pokemon @ 6am in Elementary/Middle School.
-Not caring about what other people think.
-Nickelodeon Cartoons from 90's.
-People doing stuff because they believe in it and not because tv says so.
-Falling on concrete, getting a band-aid, then going RIGHT back outside.
-Playing OUTSIDE, literally from 9am-9pm during Summer- actually being a kid in the 90's.
-Pokemon Cards - Wasted my damn money.
-WWF/WCW/ECW- REAL Wrestling. The Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Kane, Hardy Boys, DX, Dudley Boyz, [Mankind, Mick Foley, Cactus Jack...].
-Cassette Players/VCR's - I remember buying Jay-Z - Hard Knock Life on tape.
-Hide and Go Seek with the WHOLE neighborhood - 10 - 20 kids deep.
-Riding bikes from 9am-9pm, acting a fool.
-Weekends actually meaning something. Now a days people party everyday.
-Friday Nights: movies/skating rink/sleepovers/pizza night.

Manhunt back in the day was INTENSE.

Every damn kid in my neighborhood would form at the local park and we'd go all out for hours, tackling prepubescent females and whatnot.

6th grade was the best though.

I couldn't get on the bus without my Gameboy, Pokemon and link cable.

Most of these are only nostalgic to you because you were a child who lacked a real sense of the world in the 90's. As a teenager in the 90's, I can saythat alot of these didn't REALLY exist (see bold "reasons") You are way off on the "rap" music for instance. But don't let me ruinyour memories. Just don't turn into the old man saying "things were so much better ______" and telling stories about how you walked 2 milesuphill both ways to school.
