how you gonna have all the good stuff in SA like customize cars, buying houses, jetpacks, actual tanks, etc & then just take them away in IV

Two things:
1. This was a reboot of the series in a way.
2. There's this game called Saints Row: The Third coming out in November, it will have the insanity you want.

Never understood the hate for GTAIV. After you play that game it's impossible to play the other ones.
The gameplay is just too clunky. The gunplay is horrible. Let's not even talk about the physics...I don't even think there was any. The reason why San Andreas had so much $$%# to do because they had to make up for not really pushing the series forward. Vice city and SA are just expansion packs to GTA3.
GTAIV was just too big of a leap. They finally matched the gameplay to the quality of their writing, voice acting, art direction, etc.

GTA IV is one of my favorite games on 360 and IS my favorite GTA game. Matter of fact it's the only one I actually wanted to finished, and I have them all.
Seriously just wish they would take this to a different country rather than revisiting the same places.

This,I absolutely love GTA IV and even started playing it again recently. If you want San Andreas type crazyness,cop Saints Row 3. I'm fine with a more realistic GTA.
Can't wait to see how they recreate LA/San Andreas in GTA V

If The Story Is Based In LA And The Game Has Gangs, A Good Story Line, And Good Gameplay Then I Gaurentee This Game Will Be Crazy... Havent Been Let Down By A GTA Game Yet... Even If Its In Vice City I Wont Be Mad... Jus Hope They Make The Map A Little Bigger.

GTA3 is my all-time fave. It was the start of something great. That's all we played in the dorms. IV was the #$%* though

4 was weaksauce. the cell phone was annoying as fuuuuuuuuu, the story was boring, the main character was boring, i'm not a fan of the ny map. overall the game was just boring and lame.
