I'm a Police Cadet and we never handle loaded guns when demonstrating them, especially to children. I visit elementarily and middle schools and I carryaround an unloaded glock 22 to talk about the dangers of gun use, I have no idea why he had a loaded gun out. You should see children's reaction when theysee a real gun though..
