Gunna and My College football heads school me on CULLEN HARPER

I see he is one of the top QB prospects for the 09 draft. But from what i saw he is your average college football QB's, so am i missing something?

I don't think he's an average CFB QB, Kid had a hell of a season and was WAAAAAY better than I expected him to be....

dude put up 27/6 and his best receiver (Aaron Kelly) had the dropsies all year...

Numbers are also kinda low because when you have CJ Spiller and James Davis...You tend to run the ball a lot....

Um...I'd say you're making huge assumptions with that. I don't know any Clemson fans that aren't extremely happy with Cullen and stillknow he is our starting QB, we were just unsure of him coming into last season but he definitely showed he is more than good enough of a QB to quell any talksabout Korn starting until after Harper graduates. Part of it was that Korn was so heralded coming out of HS and he enrolled early, so there was a hope thathe'd be great right away. Harper did more than what he needed to hold onto 1st string.

Cullen was the 2nd best QB in the ACC last year behind Matt Ryan, despite having a better QB rating. He was really efficient and did more than enough. Ifour WRs hadn't dropped 7 passes in the BC game or if Aaron Kelly, who was incredible for 99% of the season doesn't drop that near TD (might'veended up down inside the 5) against BC, we would've been in the ACC title game. Yeah, yeah...ifs and buts. But none of that falls on CullenHarper.
Based on productivity, he's the best QB in the ACC. He was just an unknown before last season and since things didn't pan out the way theyprobably should've with the team AND having Davis/Spiller in the backfield, I'm sure a lot of people don't know much about him. If our O-Line cando even a decent job this year, the offense will be nasty.

I was in Clemson (live near it) about 2 months ago and Harper was in the bars every weekend that I was there, gettin SMASHED

DDot you trippin, Clemson fans was ridin Korn like he was gonna make a Tebow type of impact.. atleast everyone on/off campus that I interacted with. It wasgetting sickening..


Oh the irony, this guy cullen is on CSS right now talkin about it.. I didn't know/care the orange/white game was today..or is this just a replay?

Key word though is WAS. Like I said, it was only before Harper had a chance to prove himself since he'd gotten virtually no burn before last season. Oncehe went out there and did his thing, there wasn't any more Korn talk.

I was responding to BigMike saying Clemson fans don't give him any credit...that's BS.

With those guys, people will attribute any success Harper has because of the running game IMO

I thought he was very solid in the FSU game, especially considering that we were underdogs at home and it was his first game starting on national TV.

In terms of the Peach Bowl against Auburn, he was not very good at all, but that was attributed to a shoulder injury which he had scoped. He was gettingnothing on his throws and definitely looked very average in that game.
