XBL is a terrible place. It's just like message boards (bad ones), a bunch of kids and adults who act like kids because they simply can.

One of the reasons I like NT over a lot of other message boards is because it is moderated with a somewhat strict code of conduct. Too often, the anonymity ofthe internet allows people to say whatever they want.

Cause EA knows that ppl are tired of no competition playing the little %%% kids. U shouldnt let an 11 year old play halo all the violence in that.

like someone said earlier, I believe you have to be 13+ to have access to XBL...not sure
Lot of ignorance on XBL...

^ U aint lying ppl yellin at eachother over a stupid game??? smh dont let ur son use the mic

Buy him a new subscription and create a new account.

thats $50 wasted.

but change the account settings to your information. then he can play anything.

Got it figured out. Had to change his email info to my wife's on xbox and set up an account on easports with the same. Don't know how it worked but itdid. And yes no mic will be allowed, all he really wants to do is play people on nba live.

I found this very amusing for some reason.

i dont own 360 but you should be able to change the settings some how to change the age. its like you as the parent are legal age to play it so these barriersshould stop you all together also. there should be a way around it.

do you expect every person out of 50k to be 14-25?

and 12 is too young to play nba live online? are you serious?

son worried about porn on xbox

let the kid live.

i love my parents and to this day I'm so thankful they had open minds, trusted me, and didn't censor things for me.

I remember telling them the theme of GTA 3. prostitutes and all.

anywho your kid is going to be who he is going to be. playing a violent game isn't going to turn him into a killer or make him any less respectable.

if he wants to see a porno, believe that you are not stopping him.

also your cheapening the xbox live experience with no mic.

but props to OP for taking an active role in your kid's habits / not being overly protective either.

my view is to just them run wild and I can admit it can't work for everyone.

Bingo! Me and my son have a pretty good relationship. He pretty much knows he'd get in more trouble for not telling me something as theactual crime. Growing up I had to learn alot of things on my own and sometimes that meant the hard way. I have a real open dialogue with him, sometimes to openbut I'm pretty sure he knows it's not worth it to try to pull something over on me. I'll keep an eye on what he's doing but I'm not tooworried. He can't use the headset unless he's playing someone he knows and Halo was givin to him, he's more into the sports games.
