any of you guys saying jail breaking didn't do much, obviously don't know much

exactly, Im not into heavy customization or anything because Id use Android for that, but there were some tweaks that came with JB that made things so epic

Like what?

The only reason I Jailbroke my phone was for apps. :rolleyes

themes, trick your phone to think its running on wifi, turn your phone into a wifi hotspot for free, free sms and ringtones (back in the day itunes didn't have sms tones, turn the keyboard into a 5 roms (so you add the numbers on top), hack for apps (like unlimited skips on pandora), sbsettings

cydia alone has hundreds of thousands tweaks for your phone

I just watched this vid.

Some useful stuff I didn't know about. Bout to go dl a bunch of stuff for the ipad.

What are the benefits of tricking your phone to think its running on wifi 8o

well im not sure about much anymore because of the 4g, but before you couldn't facetime unless on wifi, some apps wont let you download/update unless on wifi, some apps require wifi to play online

still is like that for many apps. i think datpiff is like that, um yea alot of the head to head games require wifi, i think crackle does, justintv, just off the top of my head.

As far as jailbreaking so many additions or addons, tweaks, mods you can do with the phone. It was jailbreaking that exploited open up the hidden feature of panaroma for the iphone (oddly apple so called added it as a new feature) as well as many other features apple so called added/new features (that are really hidden/blocked from user, then open and called a update S version of sad phone)

Also you have grooveshark (which you can have and save in the cloud unlimited amounts of music for free) saves on space for phone. The free apps are cool and all, but the tweaks, add ons, and features is what makes jailbreaking. There sites where ppl have made voice activated (siri) garagedoor openers for their homes, used siri as a voice activated tv remote, tons literally thousands of tweaks/addons etc... with cydia alone.

Coming from a new iPhone user and a former Android user I would never go back to Android

If your Android phone wasn't running anything between 4.0-4.2.1, your Android experience wasn't a good indicator of what Android really is.

I'm an android user (GNex) but back in my iPhone days installous was clutch. RIP
