Half.com question (never recieved payment)

i sold a book on half.com a couple weeks back, shipped it out (got delivery confirmation) & still havent recieved my payment. the reason i shipped it out before i recieved the payment was because there is a shipping deadline & also the payment periods are once every 2 weeks & it goes right to your bank account. its not like paypal where you see the payment come through right away. whenever i bought off half.com i always was required to pay right away, so i figuered i would be fine sending the items out before the payment appeared on my bank account.

my questions for anyone who has dealt with half.com are

1) is this how everyone goes about selling on there? you recieve the email that your item has been purchased & you just send it out before the deadline? or do you wait until the 2 weeks passes to see you have the payment & then ship. again, there is a deadline before the 2 weeks passes.

2) is there any way to confirm you got the payment before you ship? like the same day you got the email that your  item has been sold?

3) is there anyway i can get my money back? its only $20 so im not stressing it, but it would be nice if i could.

i contacted half.com, ebay, & paypal & nothing so i wanted to see if nt had any advice. i always felt uncomfortable shipping out the books before i got the payment, but i was always under the impression it was required you have to pay right away (not like ebay where you cna pay later). im just making sure i avoid this in the future.

i would keep emailing them since they are the ones that are involved. its like asking niketalk about why isnt sneakernews wdywt thread not being updated

i contacted half.com a couple of times (through phone & email) but i havent got a response back yet. ive also contacted ebay & paypal, but they said contact half.com

its not so much about the money anymore (its only $20), but im just curious to anyone who has used half.com if they ship the same way i do or do something different? what i did was i recieved the email my item was sold, then i shipped it before the deadline, but also before i recieved the payment (since the payment is every 2 weeks & that ran past when the deadline was). & since the money goes striaght to my bank, i couldnt tell if i had the money yet. but as i said, i was under the impression this was standard shipping & buyers were forced to pay right away.

i just wanna prevent this from happening again.

I sell stuff on there and I pretty much shipped immediately because half.com pays the money out, not necessarily the seller from my understanding. Never really keep up with the pay periods, but they have always paid out. As long as its still pending and a month doesn't go by since that pay period, I think it should be fine.
