Bad pics but I love my XD45, a lil heavy but still conceals nice for me. my inside pants holster allows me to carry it even while wearin hoop shorts and sweats

Only difference I see in the XDm vs the XD is the sights, deeper impressions in the grip. They don't even make it in a .45acp yet so I can't justifythe swith or even purchasin. Them thangs aint chep

I'm legal as well Kimber Crimson Carry Pro II 1911 with Red Dot Laser Grips.

The extra round capacity doesnt matter to you? (or do you live in a state where theres a limit on how many rounds you can carry?)

Capacity is different, too.

.40 on the XDm is 16+1.

It's only 12+1 on the XD.

Capacity is important to an extent. If you do own a 1911 you MUST be proficient. They are not recommendedfor beginner shooters. For one you must be versed in tactical reloading. But they been around for almost 100 years for a reason...they are one of the best, most accurate, and powerful semi-autos you can own. I'm shooting bowling pins at 90 feet with ease without even using the lasergrips. So a head or torsothat is much closer is too easy.

1911's are easy to reflex shoot with because of their natural point of aim. Just point and shoot. Too easy.

M&P fan here...

BIG BROTHER AND LITTE BROTHER

THE XD LINE IS A GOOD LINE. I SOLD MY XD-SC9 TO GET MY COMPACT M&P40C LAST MONTH. NOT THAT I DIDNT LIKE THE XD BUT I WANTED TO CONSOLIDATE CALIBERS ANDBRANDS, FULL SIZE MAGS FIT IN MY COMPACT IS ANOTHER PLUS.

HERE IS A VID OF THE SMITH & WESSON FACTORY FOR THE M&P http://www.myoutdoortv.com/video/video.php?v=VnUsm83_BxHPh3NZNZmh3fkSN3WlbT_t

IF YOU LIKE THE XD AND IT FITS WELL IN YOUR HAND GO FOR IT.

THE ONE YOU POSTED SHOULD BE EASY FIND AROUND $500-550

No doubt...I am a 1911 STAN, but you cannot go wrong at all with Glock, Springfield XD, SigSauer, Ruger, or Smitty. Matter of fact they are all better values than a 1911 and I dare say...more reliable. Just keeping it real.

Yea, but again, I didn't see it in a 45acp only the 9mm and the 40, I have a 45

Nah, the extra capacity doesn't bother me none forreal. my 45 holds more than other 45's and even more than some other calibers. If I found a decenttrade in price and a decent price on the XDm, I might make the switch, but if it aint a 45 I don't want it. I plan on pickin up somethin smaller, mainlyfor my old lady but I got too many bullets to be changin calibers

. Berettas have that nice well machinedand precision feel to them when you rack the slide, and are accurate enough. If you ask me the slide release and safety are in very ergonomic positions and Ilike the fact that the safety is also a de-cocker.
