Happy Sega Dreamcast Day

I'm still mad at Sega cd it was only poppin for like 4 months lol.

Scottie Pippen had a dope game
Sewar Shark and Mad dog mcree were dope too

I remember having to settle for the second batch of the segacd that attached to the side. sonic cd was pretty dope but that was about it

There's not been anything quite like the Shenmue games. The storyline was so gripping and I ended up caring so much about the characters. The third one can't come soon enough. I always wanted to play the Yakuza series though but never did. I think they are meant to be a "spiritual successor". But yeah, the Dreamcast was an amazing console for its time.

NBA 2K :hat
Sonic Adventure :hat
Jet Set Radio :hat
Metropolis Street Racer :hat

Shenmue coming out with a new one???

I had the 2nd one for Xbox but can't remember if I beat it or it left unfinished as well

Yeah, think it was funded on Kickstarter. I don't think it will be published by Sega but the original team are still behind it.

Shenmue.... Pahtyy done . that's it.

I still got mine.... About to crack it out just cause of this thread

.

right? it almost felt more real than my real life :lol

i remember i played the whole day when i 1st copped when it released. was super tired but the game was to good. i was completely immersed.

there has not been a game yet that gave me the same kind of feeling.

i still want to play shenmue 2 but dont want to cop a old xbox. hope it can someway make it to ps4 or seomthing.

Shenmue II is a better game than the original. Four areas to explore rather than one, a faster paced storyline and some cool mini-games. The pa*****o games had me hooked for hours. The graphics were amazing for the time and I really got myself believing I was actually in Hong Kong.

The only thing I didn't like about the dreamcast was the controller.. I wasn't that nice on street fighter because of it lolol

The laser/eye reader thing busted on mine within about 3-4 years. Typical of consoles of that era I guess. I loved it for what it was. But it's no better than the other consoles of the era.

Although browsing the web on a 32 inch TV :D. Downloading connect four and other games on the VMU. The console had potential for another 2-3 year run for sure

Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Soul Caliber

I had a ps2 og Xbox and GameCube along with other systems. i liked the Xbox a lot more tho

What made the ps2 that good?

I mean the og Xbox had a hard drive so no more memory cards (I remember playing jet set radio future everyday from the beginning then saving by accident and discovering the hard drive :rollin)

Way better graphics and some dope *** games. Ninja Gaiden. Halo. Conker :hat

Ps2 was a dope system no doubt but i just wouldn't call it better than dream cast or the og Xbox but thats just me

This thread warmed my heart. I'll forever love my mom for making 9/9//99 one of the most memorable days of my life. I still have my dreamcast to this day, will run MVC2 or NFL Quarterback Club 2000 for fun every now and then. Will post pics once I get home

Xbox got mgs too

But yeah i can agree ps2 exclusive game was on point

This and SNES gave me so many memorable hours of social gaming with friends as a kid. I owned an N64 too, but I really just have too many good memories of playing DC with friends. Graphics blew me the F away when it came out. Going to eb games and playing sonic adventure demo for the first time had me :eek

Commercials were also dope. Had a bunch of characters and Gary Payton.

I just remembered how much I loved playing Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast.

I'm hoping the next Tony Hawk game is just as good as the OG.

YO!

Sega Dreamcast was the last system I was truly amped for. I preordered it and read every single article about the Dreamcast and its launch titles. Getting that system in hands was one of the greatest days of my life.

Power Stone :smokin
Marvel vs. Capcom :smokin
Sonic Adventure :smokin
Soul Caliber :smokin
Ready 2 Rumble :smokin
Hydro Thunder :smokin
MK Gold :smokin

One of the top 5 systems ever. Yes, even better than every Playstation combined

Man I remember playing Virtua Tennis. I was kicking butt on the DC & in the arcade room.

Also had WWF Royal Rumble
