Really, if I want to buy Nike NCAA shorts now I have to buy a size M or the shorts will look like Jimmer's. And I'm 6'4".

you don't have to buy Nike/Jordan NCAA shorts though. there are still plenty of places to get regular-length shorts.

Wow. The tucked in polos make them look worse.
But no, basketball shorts aren't going to get any slimmer. I think they hit their peak of bagginess (I don't know what's going on with those pairs up in that picture) circa Allen Iverson's prime, and have come back very slightly since then (at least Nike/JB shorts that I've bought/seen). However, I don't see them getting any slimmer now. They are here to stay.

Vintage doesn't necessarily mean early 90's. In the late 90's, nike made 9" inseam shorts standard. I still wear a couple of mine and they work fine. Although my favorite pair is some 10" dri fit shorts from the early 2000's. They cover the knee without looking too ridiculous like most of the NCAA players now.
