I don't understand why people say the dunk contest has lost its "luster." These dunk contests in the early 90s were $@***%@ trash.

yea i got direct tv, pay 40/month and its a standard channel.
my friend pays like $100/month for his directv and doesnt get it

that was a later year in the "sprite rising stars" contest where u had to be in ur 3 year or less in the nba, but somehow davis got in when he was like year 6

09 on right now. Worst dunk contest ever IMO. Dwight and Nate with the ridiculously stupid dunks and gimmicks. Rudy putting down nice dunks and getting shafted. LeBron saying he will be in next year then backing out of course. SMH all around
