Been awhile. Almost four months I think.
Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Med school is wild. For you future doctors out there, if you have a chance to go to UVa for med school and you don't,you're making the biggest mistake of your life.

First semester was an absolute breeze. I guess it depends on what school you go to, but I never could have imagined the start would have been this easy.
Biochem: A-
Anatomy: B+
Cell Tissue: B+
It's strictly pass/fail, but passing with a score in the upper 80s is a lot different than passing with one in the lower 70s.
All this is while spending Wednesday through Saturday at bars and parties. Life doesn't end when you get to med school. It ends when you get to third year.Needless to say I'm doing well and having a lot of fun.

Hard to worry about health care politics when you're 10 years removed from working as a practicing physician. Things will change sodrastically by then, that it's fruitless to concern yourself too much with what's going on now.
