Help identify this arcade game...

i remember playing this arcade game on a vacation to florida in like 93. It was a side scroller where you were a guy but you could transfer your spirit into other guys in on the board (fighting your way through)... ie  i remeber a ninja for example. I tried google with no results...... Geist for gamecube was a rip of this old school arcade game... Help!

No not magician lord.... in this game you could actually control a spirit and jump into another persons body... ive been trying to figure this out for years... i wa slike 11 when i played it ha
