First of all, this not homework, I'm just practicing and can't solve this.

50*(1-e^(-10k))=20

I need help solving the k

50*(1-e^(-10k))=20

(1-e^(-10k))= .4

e^(-10k)= .6

now you have to use log, and I don't have my scientific on me
 
nevermind it's ln

ln(.6) = -10k

- .51 = -10k

k = .051


haven't done this in 5 years
 
Thank you man, I was trying to do it the same way but put the ln there too early so it just made it messy and confused me.

t= time
k= constant

m=meter(unit)
s=second(unit)

y=50m*(1-e^(-kt/s))

Calculate the the speed by derivating the speed as the function of t


I'm desperate... I know the answer put don't know how to get there.

(answer is about 2.554m/s*e^(-kt/s))

Already tried to solve for like 2 hours. Best believe it's not my first option to ask here.
