I'm asking NT for some help in an area that I'm practically a beginner in. Friends have been pushing me to get into YouTube vlogging and I personally am into music so I need a camera that I can use to make some good quality videos for that as well. Which also means, I would need something that can pick up sound pretty well (but from a general search past few days; I think I just have to get a mic).

Lastly, I also need the camera to be able to take some solid pics for weekend events and while on vacation-something better than an iPhone that's good in low light (night time, apartment etc.). My girl wanted a gopro7 but upon a few quick searches, it seems like thats not really for me based on what people are saying (though I love how durable they are) especially since the pics have that weird circular look to them that I don't really need. But then again I'm new to this.

Since I'm a newb in this department, I'm not looking to break bank and go over say 450.. any recommendations and help would be super helpful. Thanks in advance y'all!

Sorry for the essay.. just trying to get it all in one post

what iPhone do you have?

My galaxy s8+ used to be a champ at night video shots. ppl really thought it was from a real camera.

Go pro not good at night

Honestly if you got a newer iPhone your set..buy A Tripod a selfie stick and make a few videos like that without spending money first it’s very possible

I just bought a go pro my first one going to use IT on a trip next week. So I will be using a go pro and an Iphone. I tested the Go pro and the sound is horrible. You should be fine with the iphone for now

Never thought I'd get this many replies saying to use my iphone :lol Is it THAT good compared to whats on the market? I have a 7 and its not that great at all. My girl has an X which is pretty damn good but iPhones quality tends to dampen every year with the newer model out.

I'd use my phone and save up for a good cam. iPhones these days can shoot 1080p w i think 120fps.
