Help with scratched Game Cube game???

My son is pissed, his Super Smash Bros Melee is scratched and wont work. Is there any way i can fix it without going to Game Stop or something to fix it?

it's not deep scratches, just alot of small ones.

Any help would be appreciated.

I used to clean my old games with rubbing alcohol and it used to work.

Thanks for the help. Just tried rubbing alcohol, then toothpaste (not whitening), neither worked. Any more suggestions?

Man that's what I hate about the games today, back in the day all you had to do was give the system a good hit on top and blow (pause) the game. Methodnever failed. Yeah when cleaning the disc go from the inside out don't go in circular motions.

I've heard the same thing works but I never tried it see if that will help.

Toothpaste usually works for me.

Get a cloth put toothpaste on it and starting from the middle of the disk streak outward.

If the toothpaste dries up dampen a cloth a bit and remove whatever is left in the same motion.

If that doesn't work, you could try one of these:

try putting it in the freezing for a few hours to a couple of days. this worked for my brothers N64 games

if there's a gamecrazy near you, they do disc buffing for games.

usually does wonders.
