hey guys, i need your help. coz earlier while i was walking at the mall, i saw a jordan 12 retro and it was on sale. I didn't buy it because im thinking of trying the hyperdunk 2010. which do you think is better of the two?  the reason why i'm curious of the hyperdunk is because it looks like a high top kobe 5s

Better for what?

Playing in or just rocking? If you're just rocking, buy whichever you think looks good, but the 2010s will be on discount soon enough.

If you're playing, somethings to consider.

The OG 12s have a reputation for being pretty much indestructible... plus there's a large support plate there as well, and a zoom heel and forefoot.

I don't know how well the last round of Retro XIIs was built, but i think the consensus seems to be they came out ok.

The Hyperdunk 2010 seems like a very different shoe though... built to be lightweight, and also built by Nike to be cheap to produce, but to 'look' expensive.

There've been complaints that the support plate is too small, causing stabiltiy issues, possible injury.

You'll need info from other people, but those comments might give you something to think about in the interim.

I'm going to assume this is for ballin purposes..

I bought the 2010 hyperdunks when they just released, and in my opinion they are very cheap in quality, they feel very weak, flimsy and lack any real support.. I sold em after my 3rd time using them.

I haven't tried the new retro 12's, but i can say that the older retros and OG's are both great for ball.. dont really have anything to hate about em. Top 3 fav shoes for ball

i think i'm gonna use em once for ballin' just to feel the 'experience' of a jb shoes (been using kobe's all my life) . then if it's good for my flat feet, it's in for my rotation.anyway the only thing that's holding me back for the aj 12 retro is the metalic eyelets.they're saying 'be careful coz it rips easily'
