After Native Americans but prior to Europeans...... The Vikings reached the New World about 500 years before Columbus. Why weren't the Vikings successful?How did they make contact but were unable to keep it?

Its probably because they werent civilized and was hard enough to keep their people under control.
It would of been harder to keep reach of a new world and continent so maybe they just cut it off.

Christopher Columbus was a genocidal slave trading megalomaniac who murdered and subjugated the indigenous people in the name of Christianity.

First off. Columbus was far worse then your 5th grade history book led you to believe. He was in it for money, glory and religion.

Second, The Vikings did temporarily settle in North America but harsh times back in the mother country called them back.
