A rematch of the slaughtering Washington took back on September 18th of this year, losing 21-56.

Point Spread NU +14

I planned on doing a write up, but everytime I start I get interrupted at work. Feel free anyone...Just wanted to start the banter.

Locker and Washingtons running game will have a good night. Nebraska is more talented, but Washington might surprise and keep it close.

I'm pulling for the upset and think it's very doable. Homerism.

I'll be watching this game as I'm just happy UW made a bowl. The Huskies could pull the upset with Nebraska underestimating them and frustrated to be in a non-BCS bowl. I think this game could do alot for Locker's draft status, good or bad depending on his performance. Go Dawgs!

I'm really happy for UW making a bowl, but this game doesn't look good on paper. But...the Holiday Bowl is famous for teams that feel they should have made it to the BCS suffering letdowns (Oregon back in the day, Cal when they played Texas Tech).

I'll just share the writeup I used in the Sportsbook thread.

Washington has much more to gain in this game than Nebraska. Washington and Locker are hell bent on winning a bowl game for the first time since the early 2000's and are more than motivated for this game. Sarkisian wants the program to move back towards the prominence it once enjoyed years ago and Locker has a lot of doubters to sway back into his favor for the upcoming NFL draft.

Nebraska doesn't have the best run defense and Washington has just the legs to accomplish a running attack to gain an advantage. Polk, the impressive rookie Callier and Mr. Locker. Sarks main problem this year was trying to usher Locker along in the eyes of NFL scouts by trying to coach Locker to be a prototypical QB, which Locker is not. He will return to what he does best and there will be many run/pass options in the play calling.

Despite what you think of Locker, he's still very dangerous.

Nebraska is more talented, but they have to be disappointed about losing the Big XII Championship and having to settle for the Holiday Bowl. With the Big 10 on the horizon, a freshmen QB, and a renewed commitment from Pelini that he's staying put, you'd have to think Nebraska is already looking forward to next year and making a splash in their new conference.

This game will not be a blowout like last time and if Washington loses, it won't be by more than 10.

Total opposite for Nebraska. I'm a die hard Husker fan and I'm not interested in this bowl at all. I'll watch it, but there's no excitement. The buzz for the 1st match up was 1000x greater than this bowl game.

This is like the bowl game a Big 12 member goes to if you had a disappointing season amid earlier expectations.

Nebraska's here for the 2nd time in as many years, I can see em laying down even though I don't think Bo will let em.

Locker with a showcase game for the scouts, I expect him to perform 100x better than the earlier matchup.

Close game even though I don't think this game is big enough to earn a thread. 27 - 20 Corn.
