In NYC solo for Xmas...everyone in da bay. I think I pretend it doesn't bother me but I've been boozin a little more lately. It'll be good but these next two days finna drag.

never REALLY been a traditional holiday guy anyway but I have to say it is definitely different spending the year-end festivities outside the US. probably just watch the NFL tomorrow but apparently NYE is a giant street party here and I am throwing a New Years Day brunch/art exhibition/launch party thing at my place so I won't be sitting around wishing for snow or anything.

This will be our first Christmas/New Years without our family. Definitely is going to be weird celebrating tomorrow without them.

Grew up with huge Xmas's with fam and then spent most of my mid 20's alone on the holidays too because I thought I was "good".

Now that I have a fam, I don't ever want my kids ever feeling like that. No regrets though so cheers to you dudes celebrating that way too

Typical NT-introvert state of mind that I didn't wanna be around people and was good chillin' by myself. Basically, I tried to treat it just like another day. I was lacking th spirit of Christmas during those years.

Im completely alone this weekend and i have monday off of work. Im going to sit at home and drink beer. Football all day today and basketball all day tomorrow.


Im not a huge fan of being alone but i dont have very many friends and most of them celebrate with their fams. Christmas eve/day is a big night to go out though so i might just do that.

Immediate fam went back home. I came to Madrid solo, and Im loving it. We aint Christian so Christmas is just a regular day for us.

I work for a private corp

^ I flew back home to visit my family for Turkey day and spent all my PTO time. My GF flew out for the weekend to spend it for her friend's bday.


I'm at work now, super quiet. But yea I'm getting paid 3x as much, today and tomorrow. Easiest 2 days because everyone is out, Im not doing anything major.


It does suck scrolling through FB and IG seeing all my friends back home with their families, but oh well. Gotta make moves to move ahead.
