Home Audio help needed

I was looking into getting some speakers for my room or the living room in my house next year. Neither room is that big so i don't need anything with crazy power. These will be used pretty much only to play music off an ipod or laptop. Looking to only spend about 200 max (Broke college student FTL) and dont know anything about speakers so any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance
