So much trash. Aside from outkast and a few other groups southern rap music was universally terrible back then.

New York. I grew up on mobb deep, wu tang, big etc. It makes sense that I would find rappers like BG terrible.

Southern rap has improved over the years though, word to killer mike.

I like scarface, a lot. He isn't the type of southern rapper I'm talking about. There are southern rappers that Im a huge fan of like goodie mob/outkast, 3 6 MAFIA, the clipse, young jeezy, TI, hell even Gucci mane

I'm as big or possibly even bigger a fan of west coast hip hop. So that throws the New York bias out the window. Those southern rappers back then (with some exceptions I already listed) were just terrible.

I just think southern rap in the 2000s was trash (with some exceptions), it isn't a bias just a preference.

Newer southern artists seem to be variations of future who I actually do like.
