Firefox has been acting up... so i DLed Google chrome and it works like a charm

You using firefox 3.5x? As far as I'm concerned, there's no fix. They messed up on this one.

Firefox has gone downhill since they've released 3.50. There was a huge security bug in it so they've tried to patch things up in 3.51. Not sure whatthey've tried to fix in 3.52 but if I have to resort to Task Manager to close Firefox, then they've solved nothing imo.

I have 3.5.2 and no problems here...
Just go back to an older version of FF. See if that works.
