How do mailmen get paid?

just a random thought cause I woke up to snow deep as hell and bad roads today. i was just wondering during a summer day with light mail if the mailman getsdone in 6 hrs when it normally takes 8. compare that to today with the snow when it might take him 10 hrs. do they get paid hourly? or is it just that theyget paid for their route and when theyre done, theyre done and get paid a salary.

They get paid hourly and if its an experienced mail man there is no such thing as finishing their route early...they usually try to get to know someone ontheir route and just chill for the remaining time...

It used to be $12 last year when I worked there

They sure do take their time. The mailman that drops the mail of to my store stays and talks all the time
I swear they all eat at Subway. Everyday i run next door for lunch and there is always a mailman there.

besides being in crazy weather here (NJ), they have it pretty good. One of my boys is one and dude gets crazy days off and lives pretty comfortably. Plus,the amount in holiday tips they get from the people in their delivery route is just rediculous

yeah man, they have how ever many hours to deliver all their mail and if they really banged out, they could do it all within a couple hours. Dudes are alwaysjust chillin'
