How do the adopted go about finding their biological parents?

I was watching a Montell Williams Show episode about people who were adopted reuniting with their biological parents and started wondering...

How do they go about doing this?

Why would they want to find someone who wanted to give them up?

are you serious asking that question? you don't realize there are a million different scenarios on why a parent would give up a child for adoption?

If the parent is a drug addict or something, or just plain doesn't want the kid why would they keep contact? just in case the child becomes an NBA star?when parents reach out years later I would assume its because they've changed significantly since then.
