Well, would you do it? Of course I'm talking directly Illi, Jewels, TIME, Floss, Kneesh, Wize, etc etc etc....but I wanna know what regular rap heads feel as well. Cuz I think I might take that route if the paper isthere, but I kinda feel like a sell out

IMO....

Ghost writing for $$$$- FTW

Having someone Ghostwrite for you-FTL

the money's there, they usually get a piece of the publishing and thats where the cake is

as long as the artist/label is cool with it, or theres some kind of agreement beforehand

Its a good look...u just gotta make sure the paperwork is right...
Don't wanna be another max b...

yeah, but I've always looked at rap as a form of SELF expression. My rhymes coming out of another __s mouth is akin plagiary. It's so fake

....but.... I ain't tryna work a nina to fin neither. Getting paid off of my talents has always been my secondary dream, right up under getting a chance tospeak my mind to the world. So I'm kinda vexed about the whole thing...

I'd do it. But if the dude your ghost writing for is talk s___, pull a Gillie.

It all depends on your situation, as artist we got pride and it is sort of admitting to defeat

but i would do it, because it'll only open doors and you would really see what it takes to be an artist and if you want it for yourself

look at Keri Hilson, Ryan Leslie, Johnta Austin etc... they got to write then later have success as a front men

The industry itself isn't "pure", so on that front, I'd do it. It doesn't make you any less of an artist imo.

On the money end, no brainer.

Basically.

It's not in all their contracts so I also support Ghostwriters outting the lames they write for at times.

Can't really agree with it, but everything is based on money so...

Ghostwriting is like poetry imo. If you can make some money having people hear your thoughts, instead of reading them then go for it. People need to put theirpride aside (not you, but in general) and do what's best for their family.

BEING a ghostwriter? Hell yea I would do that in a heartbeat. If somebody in the industry thought I was nice enough to pay me for my bars I would almost preferit. The fame and attention and interviews and all that aint really for me. I don't need credit for my work, just cash ya feel me?

BUYING a ghostwriter? In my eyes the object of the game is to prove that you're the nicest. Having a ghostwriter is pointless. I know I contradicted myself but who cares?

^I HATE the way other people recite my poetry, though. They miss the emotional cues. They get the emphases all wrong. They just don't GET thewriting. They only see the words themselves, not the meaning in them. they just do it all...wrong

. I feel you though on the decision making tip. Butit's just so hard to let go of that integrity...

Good way to make money and stay behind the scenes, actually sounds perfect for someone as myself who doesn't want the fame.
