This is a sneaker forum so I assume at one point or another most users were into some sort of fashion and probably had some pretty nice pieces whether they be sneakers and jerseys or suits and oxfords. Do/would you allow a friend to borrow clothes? Ever had any bad experiences with roommates? This has been happening to me recently so I'm just trying to get opinions from others regarding the matter.

Never have had anyone even ask to borrow any of my clothes. That's weird to me if it's not family.

Jersey swaps in the early 2000's thats about it. Never had an issue cuz my ****** got respect for the linen like I do and thats key.

Yeah I don't like other people using my clothes or putting their foot in my sneakers or any footwear.

If I lend them something to use it's usually something disposable and I let them keep it... like Bball shorts, a white tee and other miniscule artifacts of clothing that I wouldn't really miss if I were to lose it though.

I don't link other peoples feet in my kicks no matter what, and that's why I never bought used kicks.

I understand those that buy used kicks fix them and clean them up and have them as like trophys just sitting there, but I wouldn't wear them.

My girl's brother be always buying used kicks on craigslist and he gets some really good steals too, but one time he bought the all black Foam One's from someone and there must have been fungus growing inside the shoe due to them not being worn with socks or something of that sort. He cleaned them up and I guess got rid of the fungus and I see he wears them all the time now... they look almost DS now too... to each their own though.

1 of my friends used to burrow my Timb's all the time in Highschool, I never wore them, I remember him bringing them back to my house in  a plastic bag everyday after school.lol.

Clothes uhhhh. NO.

Sneakers, uhhhh hell NO.

think op means "stealing" & returning it back without even knowing till you see the scuff flol

I had a homeboy ask to borrow a pair of sneakers once, I was just like, "Naww kinfolk, I don't lend out my clothes and stuff..."

Three things I never lend or let a friend borrow: clothes, money and CDs. You NEVER see them again.

Borrowing clothes = #poor

This.

I thought only girls did this...and they always end up hating each other because of it.

I thought only girls did this too until recently. The most annoying part is that I would never ask anyone to borrow clothes because I would just buy it myself if I really wanted it. I'm not really referencing stealing items because this is in reference to my roommate. To me it seems as if you're trying to put on the image of something you're not by borrowing someone else's nice things. It's almost disrespectful because it's like saying "I could buy my own but I'll just beat yours up instead."

Never have, never will. One of my boys was trying to get me to let him use one of my watches in exchange for one of his though. I just politely declined and kept it moving.

Nah, that's suspect for two grown men to borrow clothes from each other, but if they stealing your clothes without you knowing then come out and address it.

Got a younger brother he's the only person I'd let hold something if not just throw it to em

During my freshmen year I went to go visit my girlfriend one weekend and came back to my worn socks and shirts on the floor of the dorm.

Cussed the **** outta my roommate and told him I'd beat the breaks off of him if he did it again.

That was the first and only time it's happened.

Cousin took my white UNC shooting shirt from my room without me knowing. Found it in his backpack with dirt on it. I cussed him out. I wouldn't have a problem with someone borrowing my clothes if they ask nicely and bring it back the same clean condition. I hate letting people borrow/drive my car though.

This. I've only borrowed clothes from my boy, who I see as fam, and we both are aware of it. It's only in situations where I didn't have any hooping shorts or just something simple so I don't have to drive all the way across town. As far as borrowing something to "complete" a fit, no

Back when I took my kicks seriously, I let my homie borrow my Lakers XIX PEs back in college...spent the whole day convincing this man not to run too much, go through grass, or even walk too far...I even put up to order food so he wouldn't walk to that dirty *** McD's across the street. He didn't **** 'em up or anything, but it wasn't worth the heartache...never again.

I learned Gro, grade school not to let anyone borrow my ish.

Only blood brother and that's it. Never let them borrow your clothes. Opens the door to all other type of foolishness

Its already been said but ive never been asked to borrow clothes ive gave away my fair share of white/black tees and socks i usually keep 2 brand new packs at a time cause when i dont like to use old socks in some sneakers. I give my little brother stuff that ive worn once and never see me wearing again other than that straight to the clothes dump thing that be at the supermarket.
