I recently got married, so it's really different...going from "my" money to "our" money.  But going into the marriage I told her that I love kicks, and I'm not going to stop buying them.

So now, I tell when the kicks are getting released and go over our finances.  It's worked thus far.

But I do understand where OP is coming from though.  Giving her the money is the lesser of two evils......it's either that, or hear her (*&^%$ about how you spend money.  Women will find any AND everything to complain about.
