no he wouldn't.

his game would change so much.

there is a stark difference from him being 6'10 215 & 6'10 245

The real difference between the 2 seems that Durant takes far less threes than he use to, I would say that use to be the same of Ginobili in his younger daysonly in the past couple years has he really become a deadly three point shooter. Durant's high 3 point percentage doesn't mean he is a better shooterhe takes far far less of them so his percentage naturally would be higher.

Other than that their field goal percentage's are pretty similar at every turn and they take almost the exact same amount of inside shots. I'm purelytalking about scoring because Manu is better at just about every other aspect of the game of basketball and rely's less on his teamates to create shots forhim.

I think Kevin Durant is very similar to Manu except he take more midrange jumpers rather than 3's like young Manu.

I love Durant as much as the next guy but just saying he is going to score 30 a game like that, like it is some easy feat, I'm not sure he doesn't takeenough three's or get to the line at a high enough rate to score 30+ a game and he plays on a bad team and for someone who is supposed to get 30 a game hegets assisted by his team mates more than other high profile scorers...what happens when his team gets better and the rely less on him for scoring and hedoesn't have to chuck as much.

For him to score 30 he needs to make more threes, become a better ball handler, or improve his post game.

KD is averaging 26 PPG with his current style of play
laugh.gif
...the only reason I can see himnot get 30 PPG will be if rest of the team develops to the point where he has to share the ball more.

You can either use your brain and come up with areason why I am wrong, or don't bother posting. If you don't have an actual point to make their is no point contributing such a silly middle schoolNTer post.

I'm merely presenting an alternate viewpoint to consider, just because it doesn't coincide with what ever your belief is on this entirely subjectivematter doesn't mean you stick your head in the sand like a kid.

My point, the team is going to get better not worse, he won't be relied upon to score as much, kind of like Carmelo. I'm not necessarilysaying he doesn't have the skills too I'm saying that logically base one what he is doing now and the inevitable improvement of the thunder I don'tthink you should automatically assume he will score 30 a game.

1. Everytime you discuss hoops, you post a bunch of irrelevant stat charts that dont back up the point your trying to make and no one cares to read .

2. Hes getting what? 26 and change this year, so what in the world makes you think he wont avg 1 more fg and 2 more trips to the line next season? It reallyjust makes no sense to me.

3. Then you say Durant has to rely on his teammates to create his shots more than Manu does which is

to me... NEITHER of them need theirteammates to be effective and even if they did, how the hell can you say Durant relys on his teammates more when Tim Duncan demands a double team..

Make sense in your next post, please

Also, taking less 3s does not automatically mean your percentage will be higher. Much the opposite in fact.

Ok champ.

That is a list of the top 10 scorers in active scorers in the NBA bolded are the ones who have ever scored 30 points a game in their career. Those who did doit's did it on very depleted offensive teams where they a lot of time the only option on offense. The Thunder a crappy team are ninth fastest tempo team inthe league...and team that is only going to get better. All I am trying to say is scoring 30 is not an easy feat, lots of players have the skills to do it buta lot of it depends on the team and the situation.

3. Then you say Durant has to rely on his teammates to create his shots less than Manu does which is

to me...
Next time read the chart the percentage of shots assisted is lower for Manu than it is for Durant a good deal lower, it doesn't mean Durantcan't create his own shot...all it means is that the current way that the offense is structured Durant doens't have to do it as much.

NEITHER of them need their teammates to be effective and even if they did
I don't think said need.
how the hell can you say Durant rely on his teammates more when Tim Duncan demands a double team..
That's true and actually strengthens my point if that is the case shouldn't a higher percentage of manu's points be assisted?

Make sense in your next post, please

Think next time.

i pretty sure he'll have a good career....
he reminds me of t-mac when he plays....

he just has to start having a complete game,
get rebounds, start setting people up (in a half court set)....
but he can obviously take a game over by himself....

OKC just need vets and a better squad....espec. big men....

I see so much tracy in KD.

Hopefully he can put on same muscle, not so much just weight because I think he'll change, just muscle.

He is smooth, second favorite player after VC.
