How much memory (RAM) does your system have?

Sitting here thinking like, why do I only have 1024 (1GB). Been working on systems for friends and etc and seeing a good 2, average 3-4GB now...with that beingsaid I need to go on ahead and upgrade my music/production laptop.

What about you guys?

But I am in the works to upgrading based on the applications I'm using via...painter/photoshop/rhino/illustrator.

when u get a ram chip, do u just stick it into one of the open slots?
desktop has 512 mb (2001)
laptop= 4GB

yeah, it depends whats da most your comp can recognize....mine is 2 gb max.

4Gb - and that's actually overkill.

XP can only deal with 3Gb - but the 2x2Gb were hardly more expensive than 3Gb so it'll be worth it if I upgrade to the new Windows.
